Mark Storm Drains In Arlington- Help Prevent Pollution

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Storm Drain Marking involves gluing markers to storm drains that read "Don't Dump! Drains to Stream". The markers remind people that storm drains directly connect to our streams. The water does NOT flow to our wastewater treatment plant. The markers are customized with the name of Arlington's local streams on them. Volunteers can also hand out educational door hangers to the homes and businesses near where they conduct marking. The door hanger has information about preventing water pollution for residents or business owners.

Prior to conducting storm drain marking, the program manager will give you an introduction to the method for marking the drains and will help you select an area to conduct the marking. The program manager can also provide you with supplies.
