PRCR's mission is to promote dynamic programs and attractive spaces that cultivate wellness and vitality throughout the community; offer healthy and fun recreation, sport and leisure choices; develop and protect natural and cultural resources; and provide opportunities for creative expression and intellectual growth.
Description:
Within PRCR are opportunities to volunteer in varied, diverse fields. In Recreation there are preschool programs, after school programs for elementary age and teenagers, programs for individuals with disabilities, 4H, arts, wellness, senior clubs and travel, and summer camps; in Cultural Affairs you may explore volunteering with performing and fine arts groups and cultural festivals; in the area of Sports we have youth and adult leagues, gymnastics and swimming); in the Parks and Natural Resources Unit there are nature centers, adopt-a-park or trail, and Remove Invasive Species.
