Last updated on March 7, 2013

The Girls’ Outreach Program is an after school program serving females adjudicated delinquent or in need of supervision by the Arlington Juvenile Court. Its vision is for clients to be equipped with the knowledge and skills to assist them in becoming productive members of the community. Our mission is to promote change within young ladies through the provision of services and structured activities while allowing them to remain home with the families.

Description:
The Girls' Outreach Program is an after school program serving females adjudicated delinquent or in need of supervision. This program empowers each young lady with the knowledge that she is valuable and has potential, and offers individual, family and group counseling.

Educational workshops focus on topics such as anger management, conflict resolution, sexual awareness, nutrition and hygiene. Structured activities include community service, arts and crafts and a variety of recreational activities. Education is emphasized in the program by a mandatory study hall and individual tutoring. Personal responsibility is encouraged through house meetings, goal setting and evaluation. Self-esteem is fostered through encouraging and empowering youth to strive to be their best.
