We provide a fun, safe, and challenging environment for youth to explore and develop teamwork, social entrepreneurship, and self-confidence through building and running great community bike shops that make a clear difference in the community.
Description:
Phoenix Bikes is a non profit bike shop and youth program serving Arlington. The shop is funded by generous donations of bikes by the citizens of the metro area, support from Arlington County and others, and the hard work of volunteers and youth from local schools.
History:
Phoenix Bikes has resurrected Community Spokes with a wider and more youth oriented vision. Community Spokes closed last year, seemingly for good. However, local citizens with a vision of providing a solid youth program and a service to the community built upon Community Spokes and have created a fun, safe, and educational environment for local youth.
